I didn't ask for nor was I advised to change them. The bike always had the pop after my first set of pipes and decat.

MM if you are referring to the SAI, My bike dose not have one.

Yes, SAI, thanks. I know they dropped it and even produced a bracket to eliminate the SAI.
And, frankly, the popping on decel isn't unique to the Triumph, I hear it on lots of bikes, has to be a smog thing.

Kim I hooked up blue tooth diagnostic. There were two choices to select, anyway I got a map code of 20359.
What are your thoughts

What is the stock 2700 map number?

Stock 1700 map is 20310.

20359 is the one to use with your mods., but still, I don't know how the PC5 will handle it.

Thanks Kim, so I don't need a different tune?and secondly is there anything I can suggest to the tuner to help the tuner?
Also this 20359 is compatible with 1600 and 1700?

Ray

20359 is for the 1700 only.
Ask the tuner to modify the F tables the same way I did in my tune, means write 0 in the first row, from 1200 RPM and upwards.

The PCV will over ride it with whatever tune has been downloaded to it.

Ok so I don't need a confrontation with the tech about the tune. But I see the 0 column doesn't start at 1200 , it's 2 boxes up

According to the Tuneecu page:-

20306 - Stock OEM 1600 tune no SAI
20359- 1600 OEM aftermarket mufflers no SAI
20360- Stock OEM 1700 Storm no SAI
20363- OEM 1700 Storm aftermarket mufflers no SAI

Commander and LT tunes are different.

Hey Lee, I know nothing about tuning. F-L tables, sounds like fuel and the L I don't know. I know the PC5 will hijack the fueling but is doesn't the timing come from the base tune?
Lee do i.need a different base tune?
I have the uniflo air filter, Platt pipes with the H member, and of course the PC5. What would you do? It's a 2112 with no SAI, should the SAI be switched off during tuning. If I need a tune I have to try to get it tomorrow, Wednesday I meet with the tuner. I would like to be of some help. I just saw your post 20363 is what I need

I would put the 20363 tune into the ecu, it is a 1700 Storm engine now?

Wasn't the stock 1600 tune 20303 and 20306 the TOR tune?

Kevin I don't know much about that stuff.
But I did go to triumph this morning and told them which tune I wanted. They installed it but told me they had to manually force into the ECU because a 1700 has a different ECU. The bike runs great and decel pop was greatly diminished except a low rpm. I can almost live with it now if it weren't the few explosions.
Maybe tomorrow the Dyno guy can sort it.
So thanks for everyone's help, I keep you posted

Run the 1600 TOR tune. I would also get rid of the stock pipes in the near future

That is your only dealer option Tal.

cheers guys....it just needs a tickle up as its a bit flat....we have found a guy who can strap on a laptop and do the tunecu thing on it so that will be an option...only charges a bottle of port so....
Another cobber came around home yesterday on his 2010 1600 after having it tuned. His bike was imported from Japan and they found the tune was really retarded????...maybe for emissions over there?..not sure. Anyway., she goes alot better now. He has had the stock mufflers gutted and shortened alot and it really cracks when he twists her open! Also, he has had 170mm risers made and fitted so he sits upright and back a tad...very comfy.

Gidday from down south Tal, sounds like you've got the tuning sorted up in Christchurch - is that mob in St Asaph St (Cockrams is it?) any good? I saw them in November and the mechanic sounds OK - they were just selling a 1700 with about 22,000 on it, and had sorted the tune out. We don't have a dealer down here (I often go to Invercargill).
I'm not even sure which tune I have now, but I still get some popping on the overrun going down hills. It's running so well otherwise that I'm reluctant to disturb it...
Good to be out of old Cindy's lockup eh? take it easy mate - Pat
